Quality Assurance Tester

1parkplace is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Tester to join our growing team. We’re interested in efficient, self-starters who also work well in a team environment.

Applicants should be technically savvy and excellent problem solvers; attention to detail is a must. You need to have a passion for website design and a reasonable knowledge of the WordPress platform, widgets, plug-ins, HTML, CSS and SEO.

Primary role will be implementing quality management processes to ensure that all products created by the company are free from flaws or errors and are of the highest quality. We are very busy and the ideal candidate can work well under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, solve problems and deliver with tight deadlines. This is a full-time position with an established team.

Qualification Requirements:

• A general understanding of common software development concepts
• Understanding of Software Development and the Software Testing Life Cycle
• Familiarity with Web Development and Testing tools
• Fundamental knowledge of WordPress, HTML, PHP, MySQL
• Ability to work well independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Must be able to meet deadlines and be highly organized
• Strong verbal and communication skills

Duties and Expectations:

• Manual testing of web-based applications
• Analysis of product requirements
• Writing and executing test cases
• Development of automated tests as appropriate
• Reporting of system and product defects

Background Requirements:

• Knowledge of website design, site navigation, SEO, Word Press dashboard and plug-ins
• Ability to work well independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Must be able to meet deadlines and be highly organized
• Strong verbal and communication skills
